Project Overview

Technical Secondary School “Ivan Sarić” participated in the Erasmus+ KA122-VET project titled “Empowering Serbian Youth by Mastering CNC and PLC Technologies” as part of efforts to modernize vocational training and enhance student employability.

This project focused on providing students from the Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering departments with practical international experience in CNC (Computer Numerical Control) and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) technologies—two of the most in-demand technical skill sets in today’s European industrial landscape.

Project Objectives

The project is built upon three strategic objectives. These objectives reflect the core mission of aligning vocational education with real-world demands, promoting social equity, and enhancing employability for young learners in Serbia through international experience.

This project supports the broader Erasmus+ goals of innovation, inclusion, and excellence in vocational education and training (VET), while addressing the specific skills gap in Mechanical Engineering, Metal Processing, and Electrical Engineering.

Objective 1: The goal is to increase students’ employability by giving them actual experience in CNC and PLC technologies through internships at top EU enterprises.

Objective 2: Supporting EU Qualified Employment with Sectoral &Technological Advances. Based on CNC and PLC internships for 20 Mechanical Engineering&Metal Processing and Electrical Engineering students.

Objective 3: Focus on providing international internships to economically disadvantaged students to solve the dual challenges of limited access to recent technologies and need for equitable vocational training.
